Sound and Healing

Raise your hand. Though inaudible to your everyday senses, this energetic vibration sounds a note. Certain notes or tones can be harmful. They can collapse internal organs.

But research has found, as long ago as the early 1970’s, that certain pitches and frequencies can dissolve cancer cells.

Sound healing is an energy medicine therapy and employs many modalities of vibrational therapies too numerous to mention here. One of the most important issues in relation to sound is that of
resonance, which occurs when one object, vibrating at its own frequency, begins to vibrate at the same frequency as another.

When multiple systems vibrate or resonate together, this is called
entrainment.

When our bodies entrain to positive thoughts, or people, or sound, studies show that overall health improves. But when our bodies resonate to negative thought, dissonant sound, or just the terrible bombardment many people walk around with today, glued to their phones and social media, a lack of ease is often created in the human field and body, causing dis-ease.

We must begin to trust silence.

There is way too much noise around us. Much of it is preventable. Who says restaurants must play that cacophonous music all the time? Did you know it is meant to manipulate you into not staying too long in your seats?

Do you have any idea what it is doing to your digestion?

Who says you must listen to music in a nail salon, a hair salon? Request that it be stopped. It is terribly
discordant music anyway. It is doing you harm.

When you walk into your home, if someone is watching television, another is on a computer, another
has music playing loudly somewhere, you are bombarded with sound waves that are very difficult to process.

Keep a quiet home. Make it a sanctuary. Talk to your kids about giving up their technology for a night.
Sit around and talk and read. You won’t believe what one night of “silence” will do for your family, what it will do for you.

When I am healing a condition, I chant. I chant in Sanskrit, because that is how I have been taught. But singing anything will help, because your body naturally resonates with YOU.

If you are aware of a sound in the background, tune in. Listen to the whiny, nasal tone modern singers employ today. They are hurting you. LEAVE! Or at least ask the store manager or restaurant manager to change the music.

Restaurant marketing has learned that cacophonous music makes table -turnover faster. Nice, eh? You get to pay for a meal that you may have trouble digesting.

Vibrational medicine, sound baths, chanting. Begin now.

Every four months you have brand new red blood cells. If you focus on sound wellness for four short
months, miracles can happen in your being.

Do it. Before it is too late.

Love, Gopita
